Should I exercise more?

I've been on MFP since April and I've been exercising 45 minutes a day 4 days out of the week. The other days are my rest days. It's been working pretty well so far, but I checked the scale the other day and I haven't lost any weight since my last weigh in (which was a few weeks ago). I am eating around 1200-1300 calories a day (you can look at my diary if you want to see my eating habbits), so I'm not overeating or anything. I only ever have extra calories once a week when I have some pizza or something. Am I doing something wrong?

Changing things up certainly helps, not necessarily exercising MORE. Maybe a different type of exercise, add in weights, do some Yoga, etc.!

Everybody looses differently. Maybe you need to eat more on your exercise days if you aren't eating your calories back. Maybe you need to up your calories in general.

Personally, I lose about 2-4lbs in a week or so then then scale doesn't move for a month then I lose another 2-4. It's been like that since I started and that's just how I lose no mater what my calorie goal is set at or how much I exercise. That is just how I lose.

I fear you are not eating enough. You are not netting 1200-1300 cals, you are TOTALING. the goal here is to REACH your daily net goal, not be way under as you are! You are only providing your body with about 600 calories!!!

Yes, you lose weight this way, but it's because you are STARVING your body! I fear your metabolism has slowed down. Girl you need to eat more if you wanna do this the healthy way.

PLEASE check out my video on this http://www.youtube.com/jaymebales83

I'm told it explains things fairly well.

I agree with this. If you change things up a bit, it should get the scale moving again. Note I said "should". LOL Not guaranteed, but it's definitely worth a shot especially if your typical exercises are the same on the days you workout. :) If you walk, jump rope instead. Yoga is amazing! I would add that if you haven't already.

If you aren't lifting, I suggest starting! Reading so many posts from women saying 'I wish I started lifting sooner' got to me, so I started lifting. First day was super intimidating, and the first week I felt really silly because I didn't really know what I was doing. I'm only half way through week 3 and I already have so much more confidence using the equipment, and I have been seeing great results, including getting off a plateau.

    Good luck!
