Hi everyone!
This is my 3rd official day on MFP and so far, so good! Like many of you, I have done the yo-yo diet thing for years, have tried WW, Slim Fast, hypnosis, and one crazy diet called YP 10. I generally lose 15-20 pounds and then get frustrated. I even had a trainer once all summer and only lost 2 pounds. He was in disbelief as well because I definitely got stronger but the scale would not budge. So, here I am to try this. I have never been good about tracking my food, especially on-line, but am willing to give it a try. Last week, a friend's cousin (age 31) was found dead in her bed by her 9 year old daughter-that scared the crap out of me! I have two boys, ages 10 and 12, and I can't even imagine not being here for them. I also have a husband who is currently living and working in another state, am a special education teacher and working on my Master's degree, just to make things more complicated! I live in Maine, one of the most beautiful states ever but will be moving to central NY next summer to join hubby. I love to read, watch baseball with my sons, hang out with friends, am a women's activist, and love politics!
I am looking forward to getting to know some of you here and seeing your weight loss success stories-hopefully, I will be able to add one of my own in the next few months!

Set smaller weekly goals for yourself to stay focused and motivated. These shouldnt be anything unrealistic. Small steps like 1-2 pounds a week. This can be done with minimal effort. Dont go by scales so much, go by a body fat percentage calculator. These can be found with a google search calculators.net is a good site as well.0
