I say yes and I've read that that is the suggestion on MFP.

Hubby has not believed me when I told him about if you have extra calories through exercise you should eat those extra calories. Yesterday he asked the owner/trainer at our gym that question to see if it's true or not. And the owner/trainer said YES, it is true. Now, finally hubs gets it. The Owner/Trainer said it's like if you do not.... you have expended all the extra energy and your body needs to be fed and especially if you are weight training your muscles needs more protein in order to lose the weight otherwise it will hold on to the fat! I see many on here that still don't get this, and they can't understand why they aren't losing what they want to lose, so hopefully this will help them understand how it really works. Rock on my fitness pals!
