I drink up to two litres of water a day, sometimes more, sometimes less.

Does it bloat you and give you water retention? I read so much about drinking lots of water, so I do, but t just doesn't seem to be helping me in my weight loss....

My weight fluctuates a lot during the day...

Am confused!! :grumble:

The fluctuations are not due to drinking two liters of water a day, give or take. Do you weigh your self multiple times in the day?

I would imagine it is due to your diet and or caloric intake.

Everyone's weight fluctutates a lot during the day. My Wii Fit tells me that every time I weigh at different times. It's completely normal and nothing to worry about.

The most accurate time to weigh is in the morning, after using the bathroom and before eating or drinking anything.

Also, NOT drinking water causes water retention. So the fact that you do drink a lot is helping you with that and preventing dehydration. It's not necessarily something you need to do on a diet, just something you need to do to be healthy.

Everyone's weight fluctuates throughout the day and drinking water isnt somehow going to make you lighter over the course of the day. But it will stop you mistaking thirst for hunger and it helps your elimination systems work optimally (bowel, kidneys etc)
