Quick, healthy, delicious wok recipes
Seeing as I (and probably many others) rarely have time to cook, I though it would be a good idea to have some quick and healthy wok recipes.
This one is actually quicker than a microwave ready meal:
For one person:
125gr egg noodles or wholemeal noodles
150gr fresh leaf spinach
1 tsp red chili paste or finely chopped red chili
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp vegetable oil
Toast the sesame seeds in an oil free, non stick pan until they are golden brown.
Put the noodles in a bowl and add some boiled water. Leave to stand however long it says on the packet (usually 4min).
Heat the oil in a wok over a high heat. Add a teaspoon of red chili paste and stir-fry for about 30 seconds.
Add the spinach and stir-fry until the spinach has reduced in size (no longer, otherwise it will get slimy).
Turn off the heat. Drain the noodles and add to the spinach in the wok.
Add the soy sauce and honey, stir and put it in a bowl or on a plate. Sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds on top.
For more protein, you can also add some pieces of chicken after the chili paste or maybe have an egg or omelet with it.
