Hey everyone. I just ordered green tea extract supplements online, it has 250 mg egcg. it is also decaffeinated.I have tried, but just can't get used to/like the flavor of actual green tea. Has anyone had any success with this supplement helping to reduce appetite? I figure if it doesn't help me with me with this, at least i will still get the benefits of the antioxidants in the supplement....

studies show it will increase metabolism and effect your weight loss, but it is relatively minor. I've been taking the decaffinated ones from Vitamin World for a while now (I'm down to 3 left, started with 100), and they don't reduce my appetite at all.0

I really have no idea but found it interesting that My mom-in-law was told to drink green tea when her blood gets to thin (she takes blood thinners) in order to "thicken it up"! Thinking it's pretty potent stuff! It's what they gave her in the hospital (Mayo Clinic) as well!0

I agree that there's not much on an effect on weight loss or appetite, but if you've already ordered, I don't see any harm in taking them.0
