natural help for Thyroid?

My name is Sarah, and I have struggled to loose weight my whole life. As I have gone through this journey, nothing really seems to work. I rarely eat more than 1400 cal per day and barely more that 80 carbs. Someone suggested to me that it could be my thyroid. I looked it up and I fit almost every single "warning" sign. I don't have health insurance, so I cannot afford to get the test or the medicine. Are there any other ways I could help it? I am pretty sure I have hypothyroidism. Any help at all would be amazing! It just stinks watching everyone around me loose weight...and I never seem to loose more than a few pounds here or there.

I did loose about 20 lbs on Atkins about 6 months ago, and I following it very strick. It said that if Atkins worked for you it was probably hypothyroidism as well. I just didn't like Atkins because I don't like eating meat that much, and I didn't like throwing up just because I wanted a piece of toast.
