In the self conscience thread below it seems there are quite a few men (suprisingly) and women that do not like their height.
So guys and gals: How tall are you and what are the pros/cons of being that tall?

Pros: I can gain 10 lbs of fat and it doesn't look like much
Cons: I can gain 10 lbs of muscle and it doesn't look like much0 -
5'10.
Pro: I'm 5 freaking 10. No one is going to try and come up and attack me in a dark alley, especially if I have my 5 inch platforms on. Also, most men I meet seem to dig tall chicks.
Con: Being taller than most of the boys at my high school really sucked. Alot. Also, the amazon jokes get old, really quick. Shopping for jeans that aren't highwaters is a bit harder, but not impossible (I'm all legs.)0 -
5'11" - I can ride all the rollercoasters.0
-
5'-0"
Pro: I fit in any car.
con: I need a ladder to reach the upper cabinets.
Someone can throw a potato sack on me and take me hostage.0 -
I'm 5'8...
Pros: I look like I weigh less than I really do.
Cons: None.0 -

Pro: I am taller than the average woman
Con: I would kill to be 5'10"0 -

Pros - I can reach the top shelf that everyone else seems to request help for. Somehow people think my size is smaller than it really is, probably just because it's set on top of long legs
Cons - jeans shopping, finding tall dates.0 -
I am 5'9"
Cons:
*In heels I am easy 6'+ and usually taller than men. I am not fond of being taller than men (eye level okay, but not considerably taller).
*Finding pants that fit well
Pros:
*Like my long legs
* I can hold my weight better
* Reach things in high places
* Beach volleyball
There is a little part of me that wishes (maybe for just a day) that I was 5'6" - to *feel* small. LOL But I, now, like being tall and even love wearing heels!!! The guys at the office don't like it much.... eh who cares. :happy:0 -
5"6
Pro: I dont have to eat much to maintain muscle mass and I get "jacked" faster than my taller compatriots.
Con: You have to work harder at everything and you get the Napoleon complex label along with it.0 -
5'6 not too short, not too tall, just right!0

im 5'2
pros i can go through people legs in rugby
cons people dont take me seriously0 -
5'9"
Pros: Carry weight better, gives me an authoritative presence
Cons: Hard to find a guy taller than me, in that "in between" length for pants0 -
6'2"
Pros - I get to ride all the roller coasters
Cons - I get uncomfortable being around someone taller than me, it's a foreign feeling.0 -
5'11 6' depending on shoes/boots.
Sometimes I feel short other times I feel OK.....Oddly enough from a distance I see people who I think look taller than me but up close am taller than them
If I feel short I just look strait to the ground for a second and think, "man if I fell off a ladder from my head height it would hurt", and I feel better.0 -
At 5'9" I am the shortie in my family (sister is 6'1" and have uncles and cousins as tall as 6'11)!
I love being tall-ish and wouldn't mind another inch. However, it is a bummer shoe shopping, as all the super cute platforms that the little girls can pull off leave me feeling like a tramp or tranny. I get no end of shiz from shorter men that I work with when I wear even 3" heels.
My 6'1" sister on the other hand LOVES her 5" heels - her attitude is "if they are intimidated by my height, scr@w them."0 -

Pro: I can reach all the way back on the top shelf at the store.
Cons: I fold funny doing squats, so they never look right.0 -
5'4
Cons- you can see every pound put on. I'm generally gonna look quite round unless I get thin.
Pro's- guys think it's adorable I have to look up to them, or go on tip toes to grab things.
One thing I've never had a problem about is my height0 -
5' 11"
pro: i guess helping old ladies get things at the grocery store
con: cant find ****ing long enough pants.0 -

Same here but I love being tall. The amazon jokes do get old and I wear a size 10 shoe ... shoes look so cute in a size 5 and then they bring you the size 10 and they don't look the same!
Oh and finding pants that are LONG. Luckily I have a great tailor and I love ankle pants because I can get away with them!0 -
5'9
Pros:
I look about 20-30 pounds lighter than I am / I can gain about 10 pounds before anyone notices I've gained anything.
I feel like my height often deters people from trying to attack me late at night.
I get lots of compliments about my height.
Cons:
If I lose weight, it's often difficult to tell and I feel like I haven't accomplished anything!
I sometimes don't feel cute and dainty like smaller girls / I have a bigger frame than most shorter girls.
Look like a giant in platformed shoes.0 -
5'2.
Con - I have to stand on stuff to reach stuff. Also, I'm 41, and people still call me cute
Pro - I'm portable.

Pro: I am taller than the average woman
Con: I would kill to be 5'10"
I think the general consensus is that anything under 5'7" is considered short for women, with 5'7" being average. I would also kill to be 5'10", but the accompanying back problems make me appreciate being 5'7.5".0 -
I'm 5'8" and based on my body type my weight has spread out evenly and I seem to appear to weight less to everyone else. I can reach a lot of things.
Cons: Sometimes guys my height or a little taller don't like it that I'm pretty close to their height (not that I care, but sometimes it's an issue). Most of my friends are shorter so if I'm wearing heels I look like an absolute giant and end up being taller than everyone including other men.0 -
5'1
pros- I can date a pretty wide range of guys
I look insane hourglassy cause of my shorter torso
Easier to tell when I've lost weight
cons-Harder to carry weight, if I gain 5 pounds it shows big time.

This exactly. 6'0"0 -
5'10.5"
Pro: It's not noticeable if I gain 10 lbs
I never get lost in a crowd
I just like being tall.
Con: It's not noticieable if I lose 10 lbs
It makes dating challenging0
