ok, so boneless skinless chicken breast is 120 per 4 oz right? Either, what does the chicken weigh after it's been cooked or does anyone know the nutritional value of 4 oz baked chicken?? I'm getting too many conflicting answers.

I always assume whatever the ounces of meat are, they are from uncooked meat.

So a 12 oz steak may be 8-9 cooked (or whatever it actually is).

If the chicken is 4oz when it's raw, the weight that it can be after it's cooked can vary greatly. That's why you weigh food raw and enter the nutritional info off of that.

If you cook the chicken just until it's cooked, so it's still really moist and juicy, it'll probably be around 3.25oz, give or take.

If you overcook the chicken and it's now dry from the overcooking, then it will probably be 3oz (or under, if really overcooked).

The only time you should use a "cooked" entry in the database is if you don't have any other choice, because it's going to be a much larger margin of error than the nutritional info for the raw product. Unless it's a pre-packed, cooked, product that gives you the serving size weight based on the cooked product in the package.
