Hi I am new here but so far I do like this site. I have a question, I am trying to follow diet and exercise. ,my question is
Is anyone doing this diet taking meds such as seroquel, high blood pressure meds, metaprolol to help heart and anxiety med such as klonipin and an anti depressant (wellbutrin)..I started taking these a few years ago and my weight went up from 100 lbs and less to close to 150 now..Seems like since I had kidney cancer 6 yrs ago my weight shot up too. all my life I had never weighed over 100 lbs.. This has been so depressing to me..I have tried to lose weight over and over in the last few years.. I am so hoping this will help me lose something at least..Please let me know if anyone on such meds are losing weight ..I need encouragement.. Thank you so much I am 5'1" and right now 146

It is completely possible to lose weight on those medications. Just watch your calories, try to eat healthy and do exercise and the weight will come off.

I am on a medication that causes weight gain. Its coming off, but a lot slower than I like. This isn't a race though, so I am happy its coming off....even if its slow going.
    Good Luck!
  • Thank you all for your input. I am going to stick to this. Like it was said it is not a race. I am happy losing a lb (lol)
I know that is a start... I appreciate encouragement and ideas... thanks once again
  • also at my age it seems to be hard to lose weight without all the other obstacles..I am 57..I just hate looking at myself when I was so used to being so skinny... this summer I finally got rid of all my size 3 clothes..I know I will never reach that again..My goal isnt even that small..
