Can I have a break?

This is the 12th week of me working pretty hard and being good with my food for 90% of that time.
When can I have a break?
How long should it be?
Will I be able to not exercise?
Was it just the 2 NEW classes yesterdays (for a body shock) that have got me sore & tired ? (Spin & Kettlebells)
I feel I need a break but don't know if I can bring myself to stop...

Do you have any rest days? Rest days are just as important as non-rest days.
You don't want to injure yourself.0 -
I have a "day of deperture" once a month. I eat whatever I want and I look forward to this day and make sure it is something I really want like ice cream or popcorn with butter, a big steak, pancakes with syrup, etc. You have to be very careful with this because it does give the tastebuds a good feeling and it can be hard to get back to business the next day. Some people cannot get back on the wagon easily. Also, I usually don't exercise on Sunday unless I have overdone it during the week or had to take a day off for another reason.0

Take periodic rest days, sometimes 2-3 days when I need it. If I'm extra sore or just really exhausted. I try to NOT take a rest day and eat badly at the same time because I find it harder to get back in the swing of things. For eating I have had lots of luck (over 25 lbs of it!!) using a weekly goal rather than a daily. I can have a little more that 12,000 calories plus whatever I burn each week, some days i eat more and some days less but I always make sure to net under 12000 calories a week. I know that on the weekends I like to go out to eat, on any given Friday I might be over goal by 600+ calories after happy hour and steak and wine ect... I just make sure Monday-Thursday to stay a little under to save up room for Fridays extra. It keeps me accountable without making me feel so... Trapped I guess, trapped in a diet with no way out that doesn't paralize me in fear of losing control and binging till I'm 25 pounds heavier. Which is how I felt in attempts in the past which yo-yo'd me between borderline anorexia up to crazy binging and back again.
So the weight comes off a little slower (I keep my goal at .5lb loss a week-although I usually drop 1 or more a week) but I'm sane and I have yet to have a moment of "I can't live like this i'd rather be fat and misserable than starving and sore and miserable"
Give yourself a rest, your body will thank you for it!!0
