Fat Free Zucchini Brownies

I made these for my husband and he loved them,-Thank you :flowerforyou:These are yummy and taste a little more like chocolate if you have semi sweet chocolate chips. I added 1/3 cup to this recipe and made them good, but there is fat in chocolate chips. Not sure what the nutrition with the chips are added, but not that bad given 1/3 cup to the total recipe. My brownies I put in muffin tins so, I got 22 instead of the 40, so my calories are a little more. It still satisfies your sweet tooth and healthy!
Ingredients
1/2 C Applesauce
1 1/2 C white sugar
2 t vanilla extract
2 C all purpose flour
1/2 C unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 t baking soda
1 t salt
2 C shredded zucchini
1/2 C chopped walnuts (optional, not included in nutritional analysis)

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 pan with nonstick spray.
In a large bowl, mix together the applesauce, sugar, and vanilla until blended. In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Fold in the zucchini and nuts, if using. Batter will appear dry, but will moisten with the zucchini.
Spread ino the prepared pan.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, until brownies spring back, and tester comes out dry.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar just before serving if desired.
Makes 40 small (1 1/2 inch) brownies.
