Hi! I'm a SLOOOOOW runner and am recovering from a lower back injury. I've been walking this week, but my doc has given the okay to resume a "light" run on Saturday. I'm a bit nervous so thought I might try to do some on the elliptical tomorrow and Friday. But I have NO CLUE what settings to use? I don't use equipment--I like to get outside! Any recommendations? maybe something that would be between a walk/slow run in intensity?? thanks for any help!

Elliptical is pretty hard to judge from an outside standpoint - I would say to get on it, start it at the lowest/easiest level, and if it's too easy, to bump it up some levels or incline, if the elliptical in question has an incline setting. Ellipticals are pretty much non-impact so it won't be quite the same as walking or jogging, but you'll still get a good workout!0
