It's true. Sugar makes you crave sugar

Amazing. I have never been a big sugar person. I have desert only when I dine with a friend who wants to share it. Then I only take a few bites.

I started removing hidden sugar a few months ago, and really did not miss it.

On Monday my boss made her homemade cupcakes, and I ate one.

Now I can't STOP!!

I find that if I eat a small piece of candy, I then want more, more, more.

So it is back to peanut butter!!!!

Happy Halloween MFP!:flowerforyou:

Jeanie, It is so very true!!! I admire people who can eat just a little bit but for me it is all or nothing.

I do not seem to be effected by things like Cheerios that has 2 gm of sugar per serving but yes, even ketchup can begin a bad cycle.

My kids are about to bring home bags and bags of candy and to be honest I will not be tempted a bit because I know it will just start something I am not sure I can finish well. (Plus I end up with such a massive headache that it isn't worth it.)

Hope you get it out of your system soon!

Deedee that is funny. I never thought about ketchup....but I guess even that could start a cycle.

I find the same thing with fat and salt. Eat a piece of fried chicken, and BAM I want icecream.

The human body is strange, isnt it?:flowerforyou:

I am the same way. I call sugar *white crack*. I can't stop once I start. No Halloween candy for me, not 1 piece. I won't let myself get started!!

Exactly the same for me. It's an "all or nothing" for me. I prefer the 'nothing'

I agree. The longer I stay away from sugar, the less I miss it. I can have no sugar, or all the sugar in the world, but moderation doesn't work for me.
