Help Confused!!

Hi All,

I hope someone can help me here. I looking to add to my food diary a cup of tea with skimmed milk and 2 sweeteners.

When you add it to the search list there are so mant and the cals for them differ ssoo much, Please can someone help and advise on how many cals about it will be?

i know it depends on how much milk and I'd say I just have a normal amount, I could just choose the lowest on in the list But ill only be cheating myself.

Thank Lesley

Easiest way is to add them individually - black tea (1 item) the kind of milk you had ( 2nd item) and the sweeteners (3rd item)

That seems like a lot of work, but if you have this every morning then you can just click "copy yesterday" in the future.

You could ignore the tea, it has zero calories, and just add the milk and sweeteners.

Honestly, this is where I start fudging things to make entry easier. Since tea and sweeteners have no calories, I would just look up skim milk and say that I drank approximately the amount of skim milk I put in my tea.

create it as a recipe, with the tea, milk & sugar, then you will always be able to find 'your' tea!

    ^^ I do this, works a treat.

This wont help but anyway ... I only have a teaspoon of semi skimmed milk in a mug of tea so I don't count it (5ml ... jusy too small really) but in a classic do as I say not do as I do manoeuvre I tend to overestimate than underestimate ... if I can do that and keep beneath my targets I know I'm doing well. If you want to be very accurate though you could measure how many tablespoons of milk you use (i.e 15ml) and work it out from there ... good luck with it all.
  • The recipe idea is a good one but my practice tends to be more in line with bathsheba: I try to get a reasonable calorie count every day, knowing full well that I cannot get an exact number. I usually estimate the milk in my coffee or tea to the best of my ability. I do record things like teas and sweeteners, even when they are calorie-free. I just like to have them in my food diary.
