.............To start off...........Im diabetic. Its always been easy for me to control this and Ive done good. Well, til the last 2 months when I got sick with some damn systemic infection and landed in the hospital for a week. I battled that and with the help of some killer antibiotics Ive gotten over it---sorta. What it did was convince to get even better control of it and lose the damn weight and work out.
Soooooooooooo I am. Ive dropped just better than 30 lbs since July 11th. Ive been increasing my activity and doing some work outs with simple weights, stretching, walking. In moderation just because I was so sick and havent done any workouts to speak of in a damn long while. I quit smoking 9 months or a year ago.
I tend to eat under my calorie limit as set by MFP. I find Im seldom hungry anymore, I dont binge on anything or crave anything. I feel content for the most part. I find I tend to not have enough protein for the most part. I try to eat healthy and clean though I fail a little on the clean part but not bad.
Here's my question. My dietician and doctor AND nutritionist all tell me to keep my carbs below 60 PER MEAL!!. To me that seems high so Im trying to keep the carb level less than 100 per day (I dont always succeed at this) but I never go over the magical 60. What I cant do is give up my fruits (apples, melon, strawberries, grapes. tomatoes) or vegies and I love em all. No, I dont over eat but I just cant eliminate them.
Please help me incorporate them successfully. Any suggestions?

Maybe what they mean is not that you should eat 60 per meal but that you shouldn't by any means exceed this. :Like ... eating 30 or 40 or 50 is alright but not 75. That's how I would understand it. And to be honest if I were you I would ask your dietitian about the veg. I cannot imagine one that would recomend you to skip them.0
