Wow, yet another job rejection today. yet this was at my current job i applied for a permant trainee pensions admin and they manager emailed me to go for a chat so I got hopes up.. (should realise by now) just for him to tell me no they want some with experience, for a trainee role! And then even said 'I don't know how you don't find the scanning room (which is what I currently do) mind numbing'

I'm fuming! I wanted to say 'Yes Yes I do find it mind numbing! Hence applying for that job! But it is my current job and I dont need it degraded even more.'

Its really NOT helped with my self esteem. ARGH!!

Plus I know just want tp go to the shop buy everytthing in site and hide in the stupid scanning room and eat myself to oblivion

*hugs* how long have you been looking for work? I know it doesn't help but the market out there is **** at the moment. In my experience it isn't that the jobs aren't there, there are just more people competing for them.

Keep trying. I have every confidence that you will find something.

Are you looking directly or are you applying via agencies.

Keep looking for and applying for more roles. Use the anger you get from this job as motivation to apply for a new job. Maybe ask someone to read through your CV and give you tips on how it could be improved.

I know what it is like to work somewhere you hate. Use it as inspiration to move somewhere you'll love. Good luck :)

Over 6 months now...so depressing. Both, with 2 agenices but also apply directly for stuff I find.

I know its ****, everyone tells me its **** and I should be happy o have a job... its more that he called my job mind numbing and wasted my time telling me I won't get the job. He could have just said that in an email there fore hoper wouldn't of been raised.

6 months of getting rejections and struggling to pay rent on minimum wage while everyone at work goes out etc is just getting me so so so so down. and I'm probably even more frustrated BECAUSE my job is mind numbing, I don't use my brain at all for the whole time at work.

Been there. Kept getting rejected for projects and management roles I KNEW I was qualified for and saw others moving up that I KNEW they were not. I kicked myself because the ones moving up were the ones who kept coming to me for help to do their jobs. I made the mistake of saying to my boss at the last rejection that I will have to start looking for another job. I sent her an apology letter but a week later I was fired for "hanging up on a customer" when I did not. Be careful how you react to this at your current job. Keep looking outside of your job and keep your head up. Good luck girl!

Channel the anger into workout intensity instead of binging I find a good bout on the treadmill to be particularly refreshing after some unneeded stress at work.

Wow, I'm really sorry. It's bad enough being disappointed when you didn't get the job but I think it's really lame and unprofessional of him to make you feel even worse about your job.

I agree with the others, though. Keep trying.

Good luck with the job search. I am currently looking for a new job myself because my current one is mind numbing too! (No business at work = boring boring boring day)

Keep looking because the job you really want is out there and you will get it!!!!! :)

Quit, so you'll be forced to find something way better. Or some similar kind of self-induced pressure.

I can understand where you are coming from. It can be very frustrating at times but you just have to pull yourself together and just keep moving forward. Maybe the right job isn't with this company. You will find something soon enough
