I am currently working out on a Gazelle which I love, but I know I'm going to need some variety in my workouts in order to stick with it. I LOVE Netflix because it keeps me focused on something other than the time I've been working out and I tell myself "no Netflix without exercise"...well most of the time anyway.

Winter is just around the corner so I'm looking for some cardio workout machines (elliptical/exercise bikes, etc) that people have used and can attest they like and see results with.

I'm in a small apartment so I can't really buy anything big (due to lack of room & living on 3rd floor) and expensive (on a budget). My Gazelle was around $100 so I'm looking for something around that range.

Any ideas would be appreciated :flowerforyou:

Check out an Exercise ball, yoga mat and some dumbbells. There are so many exercises you can do with them and they do not take up much room.

    This.

For dumbbells, I'd get the ones where you can change the weight plates. They take up less room then having a set of 5 lb, 8 lb, 10 lb, 15 lb etc.

I absolutely love my recumbent bike. I sit on it and watch tv/movies and time flies, as I am sure you experience with the Gazelle. Mine came from Walmart.com and it was about $150 and we assembled in our house. I do agree that an stability ball would be a really good addition with some hand weights though. They take up very little space and I sit on mine when my husband and I work on things in our "office" since we only have/need one computer chair. Plus, adding weights to your work out will help you burn fat much longer after your workout than just doing cardio all the time. Start small with 3-5lbs, even while on your Gazelle and increase from there, but only what you are comfortable with.

    Good luck to you!

Do you have a bicycle? You can set it up for workouts indoors and then when the weather is nice you can head outdoors too.

I have a yoga mat, weights, and also a pair of resistance bands already which I use for strength training:) It's just that I only have one cardio piece of equipment that I'd like to have a second to swap back and forth :)

I'm leaning towards the bike, but I don't know which smaller versions are good and nice quality.
