How much water?

Would love to have some clarification on how much water I should be drinking daily? Some say eight glasses, some say half of your body weight in ounces (yikes)!!!

I have a hard time consuming even four glasses a day, can't imagine eight, or half of my body weight!

Any tips on how much to drink, and how to drink that much!

  • I would go with the 8 glasses a day. A lot of cups are more than 8 ounces though, so you could be drinking more without realizing it. :) That was my case for awhile haha. If I'm not drinking enough water, I make myself down a whole glass every few hours. Eventually your body will be used to the hydration, and you'll find yourself getting thirsty easier. If that doesn't work, then just eat more spicy food. Your mouth will be begging for the water! haha

    You should drink half your body weight in oz of water a day. I weigh 138 and drink 120 oz each day. It took some time but I worked up to it. At first i was using the bathroom all day (TMI) but now my body has adjusted. My skin is so much more healthy and my whole body feels better from not being in a perpetual state of dehydration. I tell my clients to start the day drinking 30oz in the morning before they even leave the house. that way they know they only need 3 more 30oz bottles that day. It seems to help
