What do you do for burn out ?

I'm there ! Burnt out on exercising. Logging ( last 4 days)= over it. I've had a bodybugg since may 1, have gained 10 lbs on a calorie reset (EMTWL). What do you do when u feel like giving up? Not for just a day, but like its been a bad week.

Hi Debbie,
Give yourself permission to be sad and don't exercise for a day or two. You might be surprised how you may miss exercising after a day or two off! Also, how are you exercing? Taking a class or exercising in a group is a lot more fun than all by yourself. Do you have an exercise buddy or friend?

What do you do when you exercise? Do you like running? Well i have the same problem as you, i was actually about to post in this section about this same problem and then i saw yours. Well if you feel like you're bored and just don't want to anymore, take some days off. Look at motivational quotes and pictures. Try to watch some motivating movies. Keep up your healthy eating. If you still feel burnt out after two days, ease back into the process. Do things that you enjoy. Dance around your house to music, do little things while youre watching tv, go on the treadmill or elliptical reading a book or listening to one, or get someone to workout with you. I hope i helped a little, i'm here if you still feel burnt out in a few days!0

Thanks ! I usually hike on a beautiful ridge that is my "happy place", but last week I cut carbs a bit & that's when I started to feel this way. I also lift as heavy as I can 3xs wk. but when I eat carbs my gut gets enormous, when i cut them I feel sluggy, real mean , so Ive come to the conclusion I'm burnt out. But after doing a metabolism reset for 8wks, if I give up now, I've wasted my time & money ( eating healthy not cheap) & gained 10 since starting MFP for nothing :sad:0
