So, recently I ran out of whey protein powder and decided to try soy. Tastes terrible in comparison, but I didn't want all the protein powder to go to waste, so I decided to try something.
I mixed it with non-fat, no sodium chocolate syrup (Trader Joe's Midnight Moo) at about a 1:5 ratio of powder to syrup, by mass. that comes out to about 4-5 grams of protein powder per tablespoon (19g) of syrup. The result was a chocolate spread with about the same consistency as nutella, or smooth peanut butter. Tasted quite nice on a piece of whole wheat bread.
So there you go, a way to add a little protein kick to your desserts.
