Hi all - Diet ONLY works in starvation mode,
I used to weight a nice 82kg for 6ft figure. I started a new job which didnt allow me to exercise and the diet was awful. I now weight a wooping 103kg. I have started excercise (new job) and eating a retricted diet of approx 1500 calories a day or less and exercising on a elliptical machine for 30 minutes per day. Heres the problem I have put on half a kilo. I have not ventured out of this routine for 2 weeks.
My diet consists of
cereal + semi milk
Sandwich
Normal dinner (small portions)
Apple and yogurt
From my past experience i need to eat less that what im eating now to lose weight but I do not want to enter my body into starvation mode and I know fulll well when I do eat normal portions my body will put it right back on.
My BMI is 30% which is high. I have read somewhere fat consumes less calories does this have someting to do with it or is it something else.
Thanks

I'd suggest trying to switch it up a bit. You say you're hitting about 1500 cals a day, so one day try for 1300, then the next 1700. Or something to the like. Since you really aren't doing anything wrong, per se, there's not much of a reason you should be gaining. The only thing I can think of is the elliptical, muscle weighs more than fat, so if you are gaining significant muscle, it could be that.
Not sure that's totally helpful, but it might be a start for you!0 -
Ahha. Right. Glycogen is your research topic for the day.0

Why troll? I'm under my calorie goal (I think starvation mode is my default setting when it comes to me and eating for the last 12-18 months, not on purpose, just can't eat more) i workout at least 45 min a day and I gained 2 pounds.0
