Odd Squishy Knee Pain

Ok, I know no one on here can give medical advice, I just want to see if anyone has had a similar experience.

Quite suddenly last Saturday, I started having excruciating pain while going up stairs. No problem while working out unless my foot catches oddly. No problem going down stairs. Most of the time, the only time it hurts going UP stairs is about 20 minutes after a workout/stretch. Normal walking is fine. It's been a week now and I've been taking anti-inflammatories, using Salonpas, and icing. It's no better. I noticed last night that the area where it is hurting, below my knee cap, and slightly to my right, has this kind of hole/indention where I can press in with my thumb when standing, and on my other knee, it's firm.

Has anyone had something similar that might know the cause?

I have had my share of knee issues. Two acl surgeries... I would go and see a doc. Better to get it checked out and find out exactly what the issue is.

Arghhh! I was afraid that would be answer. My Ortho doctors love me. Between my severe ankle sprain that wouldn't heal, plantar fasciitis in both feet, bursitis in my hip, bursitis in my knee. . .

Hmmm. . . wonder if it's a sign? LOL I just keep going. I'm like the Energizer Bunny!
