just a question and i could be way off on this. if the BMR is the minimum amount of energy your body needs per day... my bmr is like 1584 , but MFP says i only need to eat 1200 cals a day... so which one is correct? lol or am i just not thinking of that in the right way?

You burn a lot more calories in a normal day than your BMR (It's the amount of calories your body will burn just to stay alive in a coma type state).
MFP will set your calorie goal lower depending on how agreesive you selected in your weekly weight loss goal. For every half lb you want to lose it will take away 250 per day from your TDEE that it calculated.0
