Would you recommend your stationary exercise bike?

I am thinking about getting one, because I don't have room for an elliptical (or a recumbent bike). Can you recommend yours? I am not really strong, so smooth knee motion is important to avoid injury.

Do you have a regular bike? It might be cheaper to get a bike trainer off of craigslist.0

this is mine, it "folds" and rolls into closet nicely and is recumbent.... so comfortable and quiet0 -
If you already have a bike, the bike trainer is the way to go - unless you feel unstable due to the weight. If not, honestly, I prefer a treadmill. I think it depends on what you're able to do at this point. I've never felt like the recliner ones give a good workout. My dad has one that I tried and frankly - it was awful and didn't fit my body and I felt like it wasn't doing anything for me. I think it depends on the machine. There are some that are good and some that aren't. I think your best bet it is to go try some out.
You should look for one of those stores that resells sports equipment. You might find some for cheap and you'd be able to test them to determine if that's what you really want.0 -
Nope, I traded mine for the elliptical it hurt my butt.0

Gave my regular bike to my kids as it's all gravel out here.0

Try the Schwinn Airdyne. I use it and other than the noise I love it.0

Yesterday I started looking for a bike, wanted one on the smaller size as I don't have much room, and never thought recumbent could be foldable. I never thought to do a search here, but did find this one on Amazon (ordered from Overstock instead) and saw mostly positive reviews. I hope its pretty easy to assemble as it's just me here.
I had called a guy who listed a Schwin on local Craigslist (priced nicely for nearly new, $125) but was too big to fit in my car and would take too much floor space up, let alone being heavy, but it was assembled, lol and cheaper than the one I did end up ordering. The one I got has different model # (called the company and he states all are same but for different stores, although heard the 400XL unit has different seat and the console shuts off).
Glad to hear someone here has one, likes it and recommends it.0
