Gaining weight from 30ds?

I have only been doing the 30ds for 10 days and I have been consuming around 1200 calories a day, usually less, and am losing nothing. I don't expect to instantly, but I'm actually gaining weight I understand it could be from muscle but I didn't think from just the 30ds, I would gain THAT much muscle. With all the cardio it consists of, and the wayy fewer calories I'm taking in a day opposed to the gazillion I used to eat a day, I really expected to lose weight. Am I just going to keep gaining weight if I continue to do the 30ds? I apologize if this sounds dumb, but I am no fitness expert and am totally clueless right now as to what the heck is going on with my body
Obviously my assumption is that the weight is from muscle, but it just seems strange to me from how little of strength I do compared to how few calories I eat and how much cardio I do.
EDIT- I do eat back my exercise calories but I never eat OVER THAT...I eat just what it tells me I can.

If you're eating 1200 calories a day or less, and then exercising on top of this, you're not eating enough.
It's no the 30ds, it's your lack of nutrients and proper calories. Eat a minimum NET of 1200 (that means eat your exercise calories back) for two weeks and see what happens.0 -
I'm sorry, I do eat my calories back (or close to it) forgot to mention that...Once I add my exercise in and it gives me more calories to eat, I do! I just never eat MORE than what it tells me I have left so I feel like I'm doing everything as I should!0

It's not muscle gain in such a short amount of time and on such low calories. If you've just started working out, it's likely just water weight, as our muscles hang onto water as they heal from the exercise. Whenever I start a new workout or lift heavier weights, I'll see a slight gain for a short time as the body adjusts.0

It will be water retention, make sure you're eating enough and drinking enough water. If your muscles cannot get enough of what they need they will hold onto water to help repair themselves.0

So it's as simple as that!? Great to know! I def need to drink more water but I'm glad to know this isn't real weight I'm gaining here0

I'm glad you asked this question because I just started doing 30ds and I expect to gain a little but not in the beggining. If I do now, I know it's because of water retention. I will definitely drink a bit more.0
