Lower Carb Diets and Exercise

Hi everyone. First post here and after following the GI diet and doing weight and cardio training for 2 weeks I have only lost 2 pounds. It is more than a little frustrating and I am thinking about lowering my carb count but not sure what is a good daily level if I am working out 4 X per week that includes 3 X hour of weight training and 4 X30 minute cardio. I want to lose the weight a little faster but not be exhausted with working out. Let me know what has worked for you please.

    I can ride my bike on the road for an hour or run C25K week 5 for 30 minutes on <30g/day of carbs, if that helps.
