why is the scale so quick to reflect a BAD day?

But when I'm really good it doesn't budge? Yes, I ate some halloween candy yesterday. And now I'm up 1.2 pounds? How come when I'm right on track it doesn't swing that wildly??? :grumble:

Several reasons. #1 - its ALOT easier to put on weight than it is to lose it. That's why the overall population of the US is overweight. #2 - several things make you retain water weight... too much sodium for example. #3 - what does un-used fructose turn into? that's right... fat!

Don't get discouraged... if it was easy everyone would do it. Don't put too much stock in what the scale says. Measure your progress by how your clothes fit and how you feel.
