I know it's supposed to come from the inside. But for the past few weeks I haven't been feeling it.

Think of it this way: What you put in is what you get out of it.
I'm not going to sugarcoat it here. Let's face it: Working out can suck, especially when you have other things going on in your life (work, children, social life, etc). It takes valuable time out of your day, you're sore, and getting to the gym (or getting ready for your workout) is a chore. It feels like you're walking down death row.
But think about how you feel during or afterwards. That feeling you get when you're sweating, breathing heavily, feeling your muscles work as you push yourself. Think about how you, instead of sitting on your butt, you got up and decided to start changing your habits. And changing your habits changes your health. And changing your health changes your life.
Think about where you'd be if you didn't push yourself. You'd be unhealthy. You'd be sitting at home hating yourself for not going. You'd think about how you're making no progress. And once you go down that rabbit hole, you keep falling: You'll stop working out, you'll stop caring. And eventually, all your progress will reverse.
Do you REALLY want to go back to square one? Do you REALLY want to be unhappy with yourself and possibly endangering your life by having bad health? No? GO.
Yes, working out sucks. Getting there sucks, muscle soreness sucks. But the results, the feeling you get when you hit that exercise machine, when you sweat and burn and push yourself -- think of that. And the results you'll get -- THAT'S what it's all about.
The choice is yours: Stay home, be unhealthy, fall down the rabbit hole. Or work out, be healthy, and love yourself.0 -

M,
I know you can do this. I need you to do this.
It’s the people around me, in my life, that help me stay motivated. One of my friends on MFP that I know in real life has now lost 45 lbs to date. I know she has struggled. I know I have struggled, just as you have struggled. If everyone around simply failed and gave up I would likely do the same.
This is partly why I love this program. I can see friends around me exceeding in weight loss, which reminds me that I also can fight this battle. Two weeks ago, during our big party, I went off my diet. I had lots of double chocolate cake, countless pieces of pizza, two cheeseburgers. I felt like, “oh, I’m off my diet, so I can eat as much as I want!” That was a huge mistake and I am NOT going to do it again. I gained 8 lbs. Although it took me a little over a week to burn those 8 lbs off, it was not worth it!
I just need to stay on the wagon. No more falling off. You can do this too. If I’m not doing the Couch to 5k on a particular day, I think to myself, where am I going to take my dog, or what other kind of exercise am I going to do. At the very minimum I figure I could do 30 minutes of exercise a day.
One problem of mine was going to my mother’s house. She always has ice cream bars, chocolate, cookies, cake, chips and all kinds of other bad foods. I go to my mom’s house often- at least 2-3 times per week. I was there the last two days, sitting on her bed, which near it had box of oatmeal cream cookies. Sure I wanted one, pretty badly, but I just covered it with a blanket and told myself no. It was a lot easier than I thought.
Another tip is to simply keep the bad food out of your house, out of your kitchens, out of your refrigerator. ALWAYS keep healthy snacks available like grapes, celery, string cheese, etc.
M, I know you can get through this. It took me MONTHS to realize I need to stay on track otherwise I will get nowhere. I need you to do this for me, and more importantly, you need to do it for yourself.
