WHY Am I Afraid??

Hello
It's my first post in the forum.
I've been here since May and the first step I made was to stop taking soft drinks. I was not a regular consumer and I managed to do it through these 3 months except on A day when I was tempted by my bf..
I think of quitting some bad foods one after the other, do you think it's okay or I should just limit their consumption.
After 3 months I must say that I can see that I have lost some weight and others around me also told the same.
BUT.. I can't really tell if I really lost some pounds because I'm afraid of weighing myself. It really scares me to get on a balance and weight myself. I feel that I am so huge sometimes though I know that I'm not the biggest person in the world.
I do take my measurements but it's not that accurate.
I wished I had enough guts to go and weigh.
The last time I was at 73kg, it was in 2010
Is any one here afraid of the balance??
Thank you

Hey I weight myself everyday (it's not good to do that) and I hate it. I wish I didn't. There's two sides to weighing yourself.
Some people rarely weigh themselves and they're ok with it and have the motivation to continue to work out.
Some people, such as myself, need to weigh themselves to find that motivation. I've heard you should weigh yourself no more than once a week (so no weighing yourself 3 times in one week). Your body constantly changes 1-4 pounds with water weight, food consumption, etc... so to really know if you're losing weight (aside from measuring) is to weigh yourself.
Honestly, it also may motivate you more. Sometimes I feel super skinny and I get on a scale and I want to cry. It sucks, it really does, but it just motivates me more to stick to working out or a specific diet that I'm on.
So I would say, as long as your happy with yourself, there's no need to step on a scale anyways...it's just a number
But if you want to be actively losing weight and knowing you're losing weight, just step on it once a week or once every two weeks.0 -
Weigh yourself, dont be afraid. You don't have to do it every week. Even once a month is good.0
