My husband was getting this. He got inserts for his shoes.... he is all better now and staid working out through it.

The arch inserts were 5.00 at walmart.

This can be controlled where you can run regularly but you are not letting it heal. You've cut down your distance and you feel better but when you push it you can tell its coming back. Its kind of like the fire is out but the coals are still down there burning and ready to be fanned back into flames. You don't want to do this. You have to be patient and substitute something non impact like biking for a while in order to heal completely. Stretching and rest from running with good shoes when you hit it again is what is needed. Different folks heal at different 'paces'. Overall, you want a good sports doctor to help you along.
