I wrote this in my Goals section: "I'm looking forward to getting off the blood pressure meds. Also off the thyrhoid meds. (I've quit drinking the city water laced with flouride and am taking natural supplements to support my thyrhoid funciton.)"

While I've been on MFP for only a few days, I've lost a total of 44 lbs so far starting last January/February or so. Went to the doc on Wednesday to get a check of my medication levels. First thing he did was to take me completely off Norvasc (one of the two hypertension meds I was on) and then he had blood test for glucose levels and thyrhoid levels. My glucose is down from 122 last November to 88! He is also reducing the dosage of my thyrhoid med.

Patting myself on the back, I am!

Thanks, all. I just took a walk. Next check up is in two months. Wish me luck on eliminating some more.

This is so motivating to read as I am trying to get off bp meds, diabetes meds, and lower my cholesterol meds...so thanks for this post as a healthy reminder of what all this work can do, you are living proof!
