New to MFP

I've been and off-and-on person about lowering my weight so I'm at a healthier place -- not to say I'm not, to begin with. I'm just at the upper end of a healthier BMI for myself. And I'd like to go down to something that doesn't have so much fat.
I have that fat to lose, and now that I've managed to survive a couple of months of regular activity, I know I'm completely willing to go the extra mile (or few) to get there.
This looks like the place to be!

I'm thinking that the accountability of MFP -- knowing my daughter and others can see my progress -- may be the motivator I need. I have a good 25 lbs to lose and need support and encouragement. AND someone to talk me off the ledge when I'm driving past Sonic and my car knows the way to my favorite ice cream treat... Drive home, Ness! Drive On...

My situation is very similar to yours. Today will be my first day using My Fitness Pal and technically I'm not overweight but my BMI is closer to the larger range rather than the smaller range, so I have around 10 or 15 pounds to lose. Feel free to add me :)

Everyone feel free to add me as a friend...I have a long way to go and love talking and helping others.
  • everyone can feel free to add me as well, i am also somewhat new to MFP, and i think i can be a great motivator as well as i need a lot of motivation sometimes... Good Luck Everyone :)
  • Thanks, everyone! It's time to get that ball rolling.
When I started out back in January, I was on and off, but I've lost around twelve pounds since. Even then I was in a healthy-ish place, but I have around ten more pounds to lose to reach where I want to be.
