Activity Level

Options
So this is probably a weird question, but I'm curious...lol. On a normal weekday I am up and going by 5am, but on weekends 8 tend to sleep until 7:45ish. Because I am not up and active as early, do I adjust y activity level or assume my body needs the rest?

It seems unlikely that you'd be doing enough extra activity in those 2-3 hours that sleeping in would make a significant enough difference to mess with it. Remember that your body doesn't function on a day-to-day timeline, but reacts to long-term trends. If you're more active the majority of the time, then consider that your activity level; a little more rest on two days a week isn't going to change anything.

what are you doing after you wake up? Are you cleaning, walking the dogs and such? If you are moving and not sitting in bed or on the couch all day, you are not sedentary, You will probably be safe leaving you activity level at whatever it is. Eat within your calories and move...

I was actually wondering about this very thing this am as it is Saturday. I have been trying out a new up at 5 am routine all week since I will be returning to work this week. I slept in until six and started out a bit later today, but should I mess with that routine?

Part of me thinks I should adjust, but part of me thinks the added rest is probably good for my body. I used to be the laziest person ever and being more active made all the difference so I will admit that inactivity makes me a little unsure :/
