Eating Calories Back

Ok so I have to ask the never ending question, SHOULD I EAT CALORIES BACK? I do not want the text book cuase I do know it I want personal experience. My calorie intake on MFP is 1700 I normally come in below that at about 14-1500. I excerise about 60 min a day 4-5days a wk (Walking at night,Zumba in the morning, and strengh training) Also am on my feet for atleast 4-5 hours a day 5 days a week. I try to stick to a diet of lean protien (Chix,Fish) lots of veggies, yogurt and fruit. I try not to eat any high fat or high sugar. I do not feel hungary or exausted at the end of the day. I am also dropping about a 1 1/2 lbs a week.

So should I be eating my calories back? if so how much half? All? or just and additional 100-250?

If you know and understand the "textbook answer" (ie how MyFitnessPal is designed to work) then it's really up to you to make a personal choice. I eat mine back, and I'm losing at the rate I want to. Other people don't, and they're losing fine too. Some people do, and struggle to lose, some people don't, and struggle to lose. At the moment you're not reaching your calorie goal anyway, so maybe aim for that before worrying about exercise calories. From your description of your week, it sounds like you're very active and if it was me, I'd try to reach 1700 at least.

If you just don't like the idea of eating back "extra" calories, another option is to reset your MFP goals and include your exercise in your activity level. MFP would then give you a higher calorie goal that accounts for all of your activity, but you wouldn't need to log exercise and "eat back" any extra calories.
