Pounds not inches?

Okay, so I'm posting the opposite of the typical, "OMG I HAVEN'T LOST WEIGHT... OH BUT MY CLOTHES ARE LOOSER."

In the last two weeks, I've lost roughly 6 pounds, but minimal inches (versus when I started 2-3 months ago, the inches were coming off fast, the weight not so much).

Is this the legendary, "built muscle" since I'm losing weight... but not as many inches? I'd wonder if it's visceral fat, but my weight is very vanity (and not health) related, plus I thought visceral fat is often the first fat to go.

THOUGHTS?

EDIT: I'm also a young female who also just got off her period... so... maybe it's water weight? OR SHED BLOOD.
