63YO trying to regain some of my youth

I have been on my "first ever diet "since June 29 (about 5 weeks) when i ran into this web site a couple days ago (Aug 6?)
.
On June 29 Id had enough . I started with an approx goal of 1000 -1400 calories a day. I can have lows of 800cal to highs of 2200cal .

Here's how it ran from then until today aug 11

June 29 220 lb
Jly 12 204

Jly 13-29 I went on vacation and didnt hold too well to the diet so I gained 6 lbs maxing at 210lb

Jly 29 ...210 lb resumed diet
Aug 6 ... 207b
11 204 lb


I only restrict milk from my diet as it makes me want to eat more food while I drink it,otherwise i eat everything i normally did,just less. Oh and I eliminated most sweets any liquids with calories. its easy to drink liquids here where it ranges from 100 to 120 in Palm Springs area of California.

Once I get closer to my general goal of 180 or 90 i will start on a better nutritional diet,probably Paleo.
.I started exercising 10-15minutes a day avrg ...just basic stretch and resistance work
.You fit youngsters gotta know,Ive been very sedentary from a 40 yo to my current 63 yrs. and my ligaments,cartilage ,muscles cant take or rebound anywhere near what they could when i was in shape .

Its amazing how much muscle Ive lost,so not sure I want to get too low in weight for fear of looking to skinny. The exercise and weights will eventually improve that...maybe,
I dont know how much though since Im 63.
Well, I'll see...that about all I can do for now
