Calorie goals?

I'm unsure about my calorie goals. I've been working out and logging for a little over a month and I haven't lost any weight. My boyfriend says my stomach looks smaller, but I'm getting frustrated. Depending on what calculator I use, it sets my goal anywhere between 1200 and 2300. Anyone have a calculator that they find relatively accurate or any suggestions as to what might be going on?

Depends what you're telling these calculators.

Let's guess that you're BMR is about 1400 so if sedentary you would use 20% more than that = 1680. If you exercise average 220 calories extra per day that makes 1900 calories expended total (TDEE including exercise). Take 20% off that = 1520 cals/day.

So eat around 1500 a day +/- 100 for a month and see how the loss rate goes. Too fast you can eat more, too slow eat less.

If you don't exercise, take off the 220.
