Just curious. Does the amount MFP predicts for your weight in 5 weeks ever work for anyone? It is always SOOOOOOOOOO way off for me! Today, it says I will be 136 pounds in 5 weeks. That would be great but it has never happened even once that I came anywhere close to what it predicted for me. I did a whole data base for 2 months to see if the predictions were accurate and they sure weren't for me.

I think you would have to eat EXACTLY the same way every day....same exact numbers...to get near their predictions. And, even if you did, not everyone's body loses weight the same way. Its never been accurate for me, either. :)

I got some stats from losertown.com which gave me a list of dates and "weights" I should be at with the data I entered. I did it with calories of 1200 which is what I started at, then at 1400 which is what I'm eating now. Am not sure on the in 5 weeks part but with both those sheets, and todays date, I'm on track.

Whether the prediction is right or not, I enjoy seeing it, gives me a sense of encouragement that in a few weeks, if I stick to the plan, yes I will weight x amount less. I used to copy that info onto the food diary notes, I probably should start again to really see how far off or on track it really is.
