Odd/silly situations that COULD happen. How do you adjust your calories eaten, exercise, and/or weight loss if:

1. You gave blood, but then had a cookie and an apple juice
2. You have just lost significant amount of blood in an accident
3. You lost five pounds because of a loss of a hand or foot in said accident
4. You had an awesome party last night, but threw up at the end of the night
5. You sleep all day (is there an "extremely sedentary" setting?)
6. You gain weight, but since you have a cold, you are pretty sure the extra weight is all in your sinuses
7. Your idea here

I would think that if you lost a body part, you could add that weight lost to your total weight loss. It only seems fair.
  • If you slept all day you wouldn't be eating so it's a moot point.

If you give blood and ate a cookie-count the cookie for your total buy hey--you deserve a bit extra for doing a good a deed.

If you are sick stay off the scale

If you lose that much blood you're likely hospitalized and under someone else's control.
  • I would agree with that.

Ok, but if you lost a body part wouldn't your weight go down therefore lowering your BMR?

#1 It takes around 500 calories for your body to replace that unit of blood donated, by the way.

I feel like #7 is me all the time...I'm allergic to everything with pollen or hair/fur, as well as mold. Can I take off a few pounds for the congestion that is ALWAYS in my head? ;)
