Okay all you avid elliptical-users, I LOVED the elliptical machines when I was part of a gym years ago and reading about so many others on here using theirs makes me want one even more! So, what kind do ya'll have, how much did it cost you, and how long has it lasted? I would hate to blow money on a junky one that's going to fall apart with use....

    Pro-form 350

I bought it off of craigslist...and love it...it cost me 50 dollars

    sear's was selling it for 300 dollars...so i got a deal

look around before buying is best...that is what i did (even though it was used) it was in new shape.

i also bought a treadmill for 50..same brand and love that too...

    hope that helps!

My boyfriend bought me an eliptical for Christmas last year from Sears. It was $700 and up until a few weeks ago it was fine. It's having some issues right now and I need to have them looked at.

It is made by Nordic Trac. Shop around to find the one that has the features you are looking for at a price you can afford.

    Good Luck !

I bought a NordicTrack Elliptical back in 2003. I still have it, and it gets used probably 2-3 times per week by either my hubby or myself. It does make some rickety noises now, but I am pretty pleased with it being that we've had it almost 7 years now. I also just got a NordicTrack Treadmill off of Craigs List for $350 ($900+ at Sears), and it's good too.

I'd advise checking out Craigslist. Ellipticals seem to have less that can go wrong with them than treadmills, so I'd be more comfortable buying one of those w/o a warranty.
  • BUMP BUMP :drinker: Keep the advice coming! Thank you! :flowerforyou:
  • I just bought a Schwinn 420. I love it! We got it for 699.99 at Sports Authority here in Hawaii. This is a little more than I wanted to pay but its Hawaii. Everything is expensive! The machine though is great. Just make sure when you are shopping around that you try them out and the stride is the right length for you.
