Hemp (hearts) seeds

I've been hearing people talk about hemp hearts and I'm curious. I use chia and flax seeds but I'm not familiar with hemp seeds. I briefly looked online and found some info but I'd like to hear from anyone that uses them and any thoughts, info you have on them. Thanks!!

  • I usually put them on my chicken wraps or stuff like that. They dont taste like much, but I actually really like how they taste with my chicken wrap. They're really high in protein , too. I love them ! Hope that helped a little !

I enjoy them in salad, among other things. They have a fairly nutty flavor to them.

I'm fairly new to Hemp hearts, but I picked some up at Costco today and had them in my salad tonight. I really like them, my daughter likes them too.
  • They have high protein which should keep you feeling full longer. I used them in my smoothies. My wife doesn't mind eating them raw [shelled] neither do I but preferred them in smoothies.

you had me at hemp. carry on.
  • I sprinkle some on yogurt. They add texture and flavour. But they're very calorific, so go sparingly.

I love my hemp hearts, I just sprinkle them on everything. They are little bundles of goodness. But I hear if you have to have surgery you shouldn't eat them 2 weeks prior due to their blood thinning properties. Now people I am not saying this as fact, so before you pounce I said I HEARD.
  • My protein mix has ground hemp seeds in it........... this website has some good info on it, however I'd research a bit for clarifications since the website is offering sales ;)
