Saturday Night Date Story/ies

Soooo..I went on a date with a guy I met at a nightclub a few weeks ago. He invited me to go to a festival with him, but when I get there, even though he said he would pay, he was already inside the festivals WITH HIS FRIENDS/Co-workers..Like OMG? He doesn't even really introduce me to anyone. We stay there for a hour or so , but he kept insinuated that we get together later that night " to eat." After a while we leave, and he wants to take me out to dinner at my favorite restaurant I think to make up for the lameness at the festival where I can barely hear anything. I am dieting, so I politely decline because I wasn't aware and didn't want to feel like I was boring because I really didn't want to eat. After being pushed, I decided we would go to this bar. He takes multiple phone calls from his friends. Blah blah...lol..Tell me I'm pretty and what's next as if there is going to be more...I never got any questions from him about family, life, and my personality. Am I wrong to write him off as someone who just wanted to have sex?

Any one else have a similar experience?

Definitely wouldn't get a 2nd date or even a text from me. What a jerk.

I don't date often, so I am not sure if talking on cell phones or having friends tag along on "dates" were the new things..lol.. I was just shocked. I thought maybe I confused what the situation was, but he invited me to come even though I really didn't want to go. Maybe he doesn't understand what he did, but I will make him understand that is obvious we are looking for different things.

It doesn't sound right to me, since it sounds more like just a get together. I am not one to exactly know what a date is supposed to be like since I rarely date either. I have a bf but he lives about 10 hours away. I would definitely move on if you didn't enjoy yourself, though.
