You know the ad on top, is it healthy and does it taste great as the ad implies?

    Never tried it......

But I generally don't trust packaged products.
Too many fillers, artificial ingredients etc.
read the ingredient list carefully before considering.

That's my two cents worth! :drinker:

    Hi NotSuprised-

Yup- it's pretty delish. I was turned on to this by a friend who had gastric bypass about a year ago when I mentioned that I was having a hard time getting in enough protein each day as a vegetarian. Her doc & physical therapist recommended it to her and she threw a couple of samples my way.

    It...is good.
They sell sample sizes so you can give it a shot yourself before buying a whole container. I mix mine with fat free milk. It's doable with water if you must- but I prefer the milk for the extra boost of protein & flavor. I only get in 8oz of dairy a day with this so it's not too bad. Besides, I need the calcium. lol

*Chocolate- my fav...fantastic. It's just tasty.
*Vanilla- it's more of a custard flavor I think...and wasn't my fav until I added a little (1/2-1tsp) peanut butter and 1/2 banana on my workout days when I needed some extra calories at breakfast. Oh..YUM. Seriously- I <3 it. It might become my new fav.
*Strawberry Sorbet....eh. It's too fake tasting for me. My sister really likes mixing it with lemonade powder...but I just can't drink it. To me, it's like drinking really strong SF jello or something and has a very aspartame after taste. bleh (She doesn't think so- but also loves diet sodas)
*Unflavored- it's pretty darn close to actually being unflavored if mixed with the right stuff. Not quite- but close.
*Chicken Soup- this has been a lunch time lifesaver for me as I only have 30min for lunch and very rarely do I make it out of the office. A lot of times I forget to pack a complete lunch- and this has rounded everything out for me. It's a bit strong when prepared as is and I tend to water it down (hey- more H2O is a good thing all around! :D)....but it comes convincingly close to the real stuff. Especially if you add in whole grain pre-cooked noodles/veggies...it's just like chicken noodle soup!

If you end up ordering some samples, one hint/suggestion. Once you stir...let it sit for a minute or two and then stir again to get out any lumps. If you use a blender- then you'll have noooo problems and adding ice makes it scarily 'milkshake' like.
Also, if you need an extra protein boost without the extra milk calories, it works beautifully with 4oz milk, 4oz water & 1.5-2 scoops...making it creamy and flavorful with a big protein punch.

In regards to it having too many artificial ingrediants...it's really not too bad. Actually, it's a heck of a lot better than 99% of other proteins I've found and tried. And if you're still iffy, just check out what's in a box of protein enhanced cereal or in a ready made frozen lunch. This stuff is pretty darn clean.

    Example-
Chocolate Ingredients: Whey protein isolate, fructose, natural and artificial flavors, cocoa powder, soy lecithin, xanthan gum(for thickness), aspartame, acesulfame

    Hope that helps!
(and I never even noticed the ad before...but I'm really really glad that they're getting out there and advertising. Their customer service staff is always so nice/personable/awesome and they've always been quick with shipping...plus it's the only protein I'll drink now. I'd be one sad panda if they didn't branch out and stay in business!) :D
