Reading your old diaries is educational

I am a compulsive food logger and it's been really, really helpful to me learning where my extra calories were creeping in. And today I the scale read 20 pounds down from my starting weight (though I won't post that for a few more days).

But I just went through all my food logs for the last two months and it was educational too. Although I was happy with what I was eating, I noticed a big hole in my diary: not enough green, leafy (or even unleafy) vegetables.

Which tells me not only my diet is lacking, but my family's is too. Anyway, I found the self-review really helpful. Maybe other people would too.

I also went through all the different components of the reports (calories, net calories, carbs, fat, etc.), looking at both levels and how stable they were from day to day. And yes, I may actually be learning to do this!
