I'm not a runner (yet) and I can't see where you are in the world, but I've seen this CD being advertised and the tracks seem to be pretty damn good in my opinion: Now That's What I Call Running (http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias=aps&field-keywords=Now+That's+What+I+Call+Running&x=0&y=0)

Also, one of my friends said that there's an app that selects music specific to your running pace, do some interwebz research and see if you can find it, she really likes it.

Try out the website jog.fm... I love it!

Skrillex's "Bangarang" is a new one for me and not my usual type of music but ridiculously cool to run to.

Anything by Girl Talk is great but "All Day" is my favourite to run to as I get bored really easy!

Bad Touch by The Bloodhound Gang, it's silly and has a great beat to it, love it on the treadmill. Also David Guetta's 'Nothing But the Beat' album is great for running in general and a couple of Niki Manji songs :D

I enjoy classic rock and blues. For running, I like fast-paced music with strong drums and base. Some examples are AD/DC, George Thorougood (especially the Bo Didley covers) ZZ Top, Albert Collins, John Melencamp. I notice I tend to run faster and get a higher heart rate when I listen to faster more energetic music. I save the Norah Jones and Natalie Merchant till AFTER the run when I need to mellow out.
