Help! I'm losing control!

I want to eat little bits of everything! How do you stop nibbling on everything? I am going for a walk in a little while with my friend. That will help.

  • I am new.A newbie for just a week. What I can tell you, is that, for me, it is all about becoming accountable. For every bite you take, journal in your MFP food section.Yes, this will truly be painful, but, facing the Truth really does set you free. Once you see in writing all that you have eaten, you become enlightened. You face your truth. I have found myself looking back and I have started tweeking my food choices because by writing them down I am cognizant of my decisions. Sometimes I look at them and think to myself how I could have been so clueless, but it is a learning journey with yourself.Good luck and give yourself the power to change who you desire to be.

You are so right. For two day's I have logged a spoonful of peanut butter. I get two spoons of it for my dogs and have eaten half the spoon before giving it them. lol. Little things sneak in.

When I am feeling the urge to crunch and munch on potato chips I break out the pretzel sticks. They are very low in calories and satisfy that desire to munch on something salty. I usually have a small sandwich bag with pretzels in it in my purse.

When I want something sweet I eat baby carrots as they are sweet and crunchy, or I eat an apple. I also eat unbuttered popcorn for an evening snack. I had to get used to it without butter but now I like it that way.

I used to snack on m&m's every day but now I don't keep them in my house as they are a trigger food. I do have a box of Dots candy which is sweet, not too high in calories, and something to chew on. I just record each candy on MFP so I don't go overboard.

Drink green tea after every meal! Keeps you hydrated, acts as a natural diuretic, and stops those late night hunger cravings!

Thanks that is good advice. Yes, it is painful to journal those silly litlte nibbles, but they add up! I have only 277 calories left for the dinner tonight due to my nibbles. But thank goodness, I have stopped. Good luck to you. We can do this!
