Mini Goal Reached Share!

When I started trying to lose weight, I was in denial about how much I weighed. I thought I was at 180 lbs, but as it turned out I was at 207. I was mortified. I had low energy and even though I was chasing my four kids, I still couldn't keep up like I wanted to. I wore exercise pants because they still fit like they had when I was 180. I thought I was still in size 14 pants. Nope... Size 18, which I refused to buy.
So I started by just adjusting my diet. Drinking more water. That's it. Once the first ten pounds came off, I started exercising. Nothing big, just longer walks with the kids on my insanely sloped quarter mile driveway. At first I actually threw up because of the effort involved. It took me over a half hour to go down it and back up. I am not where I want to be yet, but I am a third of the way toward my goal now, and proud of how far I have come.
For kicks, I timed myself again on the driveway and I can now do the whole thing in nineteen minutes (without puking!). I tried on my size 14 pants, and they not only fit comfortably again, but I can actually slip them off without unbuttoning them now! I am so excited. Have I mentioned I am only 5'3"? I used to be a 36-24-36, but now I am a 44-36-41 and working my way back down. (Not bad since I began tracking at 45-42-46!)
So thank you everyone for your support! I don't think I would have kept on it after my month long plateau if it hadn't been for all the encouragement and success stories posted here. I only hope that my story inspires someone like your stories have inspired me.
