Fruit, veggies, rice, quinoa, dairy, meats. All gluten free.
Spelt, rye, whole wheat, white bread all contain gluten. If you buy oats, make sure they are certified gluten free, they are easily cross contaminated.
Read all ingredients, things like ketchup, soy sauce, teriyaki, bbq, salad dressings, ice cream, seasonings, cereals, chips, canned soups, deli meats, hamburger patties, french fries, anything breaded, can all contain gluten.0 -
Watch out on Quinoa. There are a few strains out there that seem to cause a gluten attack affect. They don't know why. I know I don't tolerate it well. If you buy deli meats, you'll need to ask if they have gluten. I know Boars Head does not have gluten in them. Also, they do make soy sauces that are gluten free - San-J is a great one and you can get it at Whole Foods.
Here's a great website that helps you identify products that aren't gluten free.

This list might scare you so the only really safe way to go is to just check to see if it says Gluten Free.

I don't eat much wheat or gluten, simply because it upsets my stomach and constipates me.
Why are you going gluten free?0 -
Oops. I just realized you meant the poster. LOL. That is a good question though. I'd love to know too.0

I hadn't heard this either either. This is the first time I have ever heard that it can be an issue.0 -

Meat, eggs, dairy, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds.
The biggest thing is to stay away from the grains. Now days even grains that are supposed to be gluten free are contaminated to some degree, especially oats.
If you are looking for "products" that are just processed junk I would see no need to go gluten free. Personally, to me that just defeats the purpose.0 -

Fruits, veggies, dairy, meat, whole grain brown rice, etc. Most packaged gluten-free foods are very expensive. Just stay out of the middle aisles of the grocery store and focus on REAL, unprocessed foods. Be sure to print off a list of additives and foods that contain gluten and take it with you when you go shopping. www.celiac.com has a pretty good list. I just starting eating gluten-free last week because of my acid reflux, but after a few days I noticed other great benefits of cutting it out.
Hope it goes well for you!0
