Monthly Goal

I am 5'10 and currently sitting at around 175lbs (ugh, wtf)

Anyways. I've decided to go hard for the next 30 days and want to set a "goal to meet" for myself.

I will weigh tomorrow for starting weight, and then not again for another 30 days.

What should my goal loss be? If I start at 175, where should I aim to end up after 30 days....

all suggestions welcome :)

only you can decide on the goal. what have you already lost? do you run/do cardio, or do you lift as well? because this will affect what you can reach.

personally, i like goals such as "improve my running time/distance to XX" or "increase my dead lift to XXX lbs." just making some suggestions for goals other than scale weight.

but at 5'10" and 175 lbs, you don't sound too over weight. in 30 days you can lose anywhere from 1-10 lbs depending on your current eating and exercise routine.

i consider 8 lbs in a month to be an attainable goal. Don't set yourself for any more than 2 lbs every week because that is a really high and non sustainable calorie deficit

A good goal would be to lose 1-2 lbs a week! That's what is typical! You will get alot of support on here!

    thanks guys :)

I'm looking to lose at least 5lbs of water weight the first week (which always happens to me) and then normally 1lb a week after that, sometimes 2 if i'm lucky.

I'm just watching extreme makeover: weight loss edition right now and he gives her a number goal to hit with each phase. I'm trying to set something like that up for myself, so that I push harder for it.

    Here's to hoping :)
